That would make a nice simple hot air balloon design.
That would never have occurred to me but you are right; it could work very well.
I like that is that the composition is so symmetrical. Mr. T, I changed my avatar, and I also have a new blog. If you want to visit. I still have the flower blog, but my other one is here:

Yes- with this one I think the contrasts in textures and shapes make a ‘fancy angle’ approach unnecessary. Pleased to hear about the new blog- should be fun for you to do and us to see 🙂
May I ask, what captures your attention first. While I love the composition and the textures of this shot, I wonder…was it already in place and you just snapped it in the moment, or did you set up the shot? Curious minds want to know.
And please insert question marks where appropriate. For some reason, I have decided that all of my punctuation will be intuitive from now on @#($*!
I know what you mean- the capitals are all disappearing from my search entries these days!
No, one of the blog rules is that nothing is moved, tidied up or cleaned before I photograph it. There have been several things I wanted to shoot where the positioning or context made a good shot impossible. And in a couple of cases Mrs T has forbidden me to photograph something she thinks is too dusty, while I have forbidden her to then dust it just so I can photograph it 🙂
Most of the shots just sort of turn up as I go round the house. (Anything with a shadow catches my attention now, for instance, which it never did before I started the blog.) Also Mrs T now occasionally calls me over to look at something; the Halloween/Christmas shot was one she noticed coming back from the corner shop, and insisted I came out with the camera to take it 🙂
