We got these hand painted miniatures during a visit to the artists’ workshop in Rajasthan, India. Each is about 2.5ins/6cm across. They rather remind me of the miniatures that were produced in the Elizabethan period in England.

  1. You’re right, because of the size. They sure are highly detailed for that size.

      Yes they are beautiful pictures. If you are ever in London and you want to see Elizabethan miniatures the National Portrait Gallery is very good. But I guess you would want to go to the Natural History Museum first 🙂
